| Name: | Kikumaru Eiji |
|---|---|
| Birthdate: | 11-28 |
| Location: | Japan |
| Website: | retro tennis |
Character: Kikumaru Eiji
Class: First year
Weight: 49kg
Height: 162cm
DOB: November 28th
Family: Mother, father, two older sisters (Akako, seventeen and Nami, fourteen), two older brothers (Kiyoshi, seventeen, and Daisuke, fifteen).
Appearance (as differs from canon): Short flippy hair and wears his trademark white bandage across his nose.
Position in club: Sub-regular, much to his dismay.
Biography:
Eiji grew up watching his father play tennis, and watching his youngest sister participate in gymnastics, and while Eiji had never really been interested in persuing the former for most of his childhood years, he had always taken a liking to acrobatics, dedicating a lot of time and winning a couple awards in primary school. It wasn't until he was about ten-years-old when he decided that he wanted to learn how to play tennis, bugging his dad until he agreed to teach Eiji the basics. The youngest Kikumaru had immediately taken a liking to the sport, but when he wanted to more seriously focus on tennis, it was too difficult to give up his gymnastics - the only logical way to go about doing things from there was to mix the two and create what he thought was an original tennis strategy.
When he made the transition to Seigaku, Eiji immediately joined the tennis club, wanting to make a name for himself in singles, and wear that regular jersey that he awed at every time he watched a regular walk past. At first, due to his outgoing personality and skill in the game, the redhead made lots of friends with his fellow first years - Eiji liked to show off, doing cartwheels and flips around the court as he picked up tennis balls for their senpai. But much to his dismay, he was not allowed to further his tennis game in the club as much as he would've liked due to only being a first year.
He was well-liked among both his peers and the kids around his neighboorhood, but not many people really got to know the Eiji underneath his external personality. The insecure and still relies heavily on both his family and teddy bear to catch his tears, Eiji, is just as much a part of him as the outgoing, spirited, stubborn, showoff-ish, loud and brash Eiji.
And you can't forget the "Kikumaru-sama" name he dubbed himself, either.
